Guests need not step outside of the hotel to soak in the rich heritage that Liverpool has to offer, with the refurbishments seeing local influences throughout. The new interiors reflect the city’s rich cultural heritage, with influences from music, the docks and Liverpool’s industrial history coming through in the designs. The main lobby takes inspiration for Liverpool’s shipping history and includes a feature wall made of driftwood and uses the blue, brown and green hues of the Mersey in the soft furnishings. Rope, rust and wood accents give a more industrial feel to the common spaces and nautical-inspired fixtures continue the theme which uses natural materials to give a refined and relaxed feel.
In the bedrooms, Liverpool’s impressive musical heritage take centre stage. Huge record motifs and crowd scenes adorn the walls to create atmosphere and echo Liverpool’s status as the city if pop due to the many number one records to have emerged from there. The hotel has 255 comfortable bedrooms including twins, doubles and family rooms. The suites are also perfect for those looking for a little added luxury with beautiful panoramic views, flat screen TVs and Nespresso Coffee Machines.
Amenities include The Vista Restaurant and Vu Bar and Terrace – both of which offer stunning views of the Royal Liver building. The terrace bar also opens in the summer for cocktails alfresco style!
